DOUBLE FLAME

 

Double Flame is our second artist collaboration here at BplusMplusB this time with Bea Bonafini. Double Flame is a sculptural light depicting two interlocking figures.

 

Drawing from Bea's rich visual vocabulary where "histories, myths, and identities are continuously dismantled and reassembled", these two figures intertwine in what could be an intimate embrace, a dance or a conflict. Each figure has a different gradient of colour which is hand spray-painted. One side has purple hues whilst the other has blue with a deep blue/purple interior. The metal structure is thin lasercut and bent steel, making it feel much like a paper drawing.

This is a limited edition of 20 and each light comes with a signed label.

Spray-painted (and finished with a clear spray varnish) mild steel with E14 warm light bulb fitting, 3 core wiring with UK plug and switch.
