This April, two years after starting BplusMplusB, we are launching our first artist collaboration. This is with Lauren Godfrey. It has always been my goal to be able to create unique functional objects with artists (and friends) whose work and design sensibility I admire. Our object, the TUTTI FRUTTI fruit bowl, is a perfect synthesis of both of our artistic practices. We had a lot of fun designing and making it. My intention is for the invited artist to be able to keep one of our objects for their own home so it was a pleasure to photograph it in Lauren's kitchen.
This November, BplusMplusB is lauching our second collaboration with artist Bea Bonafini. Bea works between London and Barcelona and her practice spans painting, ceramics, drawing and tapestry. This is our first international project. We have designed and made a metal sculptural light which is spray-painted by hand in purple and blue hues. This is a limited edition of 20.
